Tim Cuprisin reports:
Preliminary numbers from Nielsen Media Research give [ABC WISN] Channel 12 an average 10 p.m. audience of more than 73,000 southeast Wisconsin homes, a 15 percent share of available homes. [NBC WTMJ] Channel 4 had nearly 69,000 households, also a 15 percent share. [CBS WDJT] Channel 58 was in third place with more than 50,000 households (a 10 percent share), and [FOX WITI] Channel 6 had almost 41,000 homes (an 8 percent share).
Is 58 beating 6 because of its coverage of “tea party”-esque events?
i.e.:
Are the media viewers responding to media bias? In relation to the incident at the CRG Serb Hall Rally, two views of the incident developed.
As Aaron Rodriguez comments:
The Fox commentary described the man as a “heckler”, who had “unfortunately” and “suddenly” disappeared after the incident. Interestingly, Fox 6 not only took a side on the incident, but for unknown reasons edited out the second half of a composed chant from union members “No more cuts, Walker sucks”. Was Fox 6 trying to present all of the union protesters as decent and refined?
From another perspective, a CBS 58 video shot from a cell phone showed a union worker swinging his sign at the man before the incident occurred. This was not caught on the Fox 6 clip; and unlike Fox, the CBS commentary correctly described the man as “retaliating” while the protester sign was in “mid-swing.”

Interesting theory. I think it might have to do with the less than competitive dramas and tv shows that precede fox 6’s news and the fact there is no post news talk show host. that costs them viewers as well.
